April's Competition with 19/99
Each month, we’re giving you the chance to compete. Be one of the first 50 members to sign up, and compete to create the best makeup look!
What do you need to do?
You will be given a creative brief to create a makeup look using products from the Clean Collective brand of the month. Submissions will be judged by celebrity makeup artist, Katey Denno, and the brand, for your chance to win amazing prizes!
The winners will receive a semi-finalist spot in the Final Competition this coming September—plus, be featured in The Detox Market’s North American newsletter, social page, and blog.
How To Enter
Step 1: Fill out the Application.

Step 2: Create Your Look
Once you’re selected, you’ll receive an email with the creative brief outlining the challenge of the month. We’ll send you the materials you’ll need to complete the challenge. You have a set amount of time to create your masterpiece before submitting your look to our judges.
Step 3: Submit Your Look
Complete the contest submission form you received in the brief.
When submitting your look, be sure to include:
- One still image of the final look.
- One video showing a step-by-step guide, with tips and tricks as to how you created your look. Take a moment to showcase all angles of your final look! Lighting is important— be sure to capture footage that compliments and highlights the look you created.
- A written list of products and shades used to create your final look.
Rules & Regulations
- Eligibility: This competition is open to all Clean Collective creatives, beauty mavens, and glam gurus who are ready to take their skills to the next level! The contest is open to North American Clean Collective members only.
- Entry: Tenter, participants must be one of the first 50 Clean Collective members to register for the monthly challenge. Fill out the entry form, and get ready to submit your best makeup look. Each member is allowed one entry per monthly competition. Don't forget to bring your A-game and a healthy dose of confidence!
- Judging: Your looks will be judged by celebrity makeup artist, Katey Denno, and the Clean Collective brand of the month. We’re looking for creativity, technique, and originality. (Read the full Makeup Criteria section in the brief). Two winners will be selected by the judges— the first selected by Katey Denno based on artistry, execution, and overall connection to the creative brief, and the second winner selected by the brand based on use of the products provided.
- Rounds: The competition will consist of monthly rounds, each with its own unique challenge. From natural beauty to over-the-top glam, each month will test your skills in different ways.
- Time Limits: Once you receive your materials, you'll have a set amount of time to complete each challenge. Be sure to work fast and stay focused.
- Equipment and Materials: Brands of the month will supply some basic tools and materials to create your look, but the rest is up to you! You can use non-compete products to compliment your look (such as foundation, concealer, brow gel, etc.), but be sure the provided products are the star components to the look.
- Fair Play: Remember, this is a friendly competition! Treat your fellow competitors with respect and good sportsmanship—and don't forget to have fun!
- Winner Announcements: By participating in the competition, the winner and runner-ups grant us permission to share their name and Instagram handle with our audience through our newsletter, blog, and social channels, allowing us to celebrate their success and showcase their work.
